Circle Song is a simple and ancient principle of singing. A group of singers in a circle "spin" a basic song pattern, which may be inspired by African, Latin, groove, traditional folk or jazz influences. The singers take turns improvising. They create various melodies, rhythms and explore collective and individual vocal improvisation together through movement, listening and interaction.
The Circle Song, which became better known as a vocal discipline thanks to Bobby Mc Ferrin over 20 years ago, is a powerful ritual form for generating collective musical energy and connection within the group.
With an inspired voice and in a circle energised by the plurality of voices, you will be guided by our speakers Nicolas Billaux, Jeff Mack and Muriel Nsunda.
