Dr. méd. Stefanie Rummel
Singer, lecturer, researcher and physician Dr. Stefanie Rummel, a specialist in Estill vocal training, has been sharing her expertise for many years through masterclasses, coaching, training courses and voice conferences. She holds the highest certification as an Estill Mentor Course Instructor for Estill Vocal Training, a method that explores vocal styles in a scientific and practical way.
A multi-award-winning singer and musical actress, Stefanie Rummel performs her song programs at international festivals in the UK, USA, Iceland and Australia. She is passionate about a wide variety of vocal genres, including spoken word, falsetto, sob, twang, opera singing and belting.
In collaboration with the Institute of Musicians' Medicine in Freiburg, she is conducting research into vocal tract configurations, breath control and acoustics using 2D and 3D MRI studies in relation to the six vocal qualities defined by the Estill method. Her aim is to better understand the anatomical conditions of the vocal tract, encourage healthy vocal production, improve communication around vocal production and master different singing and speaking styles. As a lecturer, she speaks at international conferences such as PAS7+, PEVOC, ICVT, CAS Stimmwelten, ISIPAE, Estill World Voice Symposium, Stuttgarter Stimmtage and Voice Istanbul 2024.
At the Rummel Institute in Frankfurt am Main, and in partnership with other institutions, she shares her knowledge of research, human medicine, stage practice, Estill voice training and teaching.
