This workshop offers a practical introduction to the vocal traditions of Renaissance polyphony, based on historical sources. Participants will discover singing from facsimiles, mensural notation and the principles of historical solmisation (Guidonian mode).

The work is resolutely practical, centred around the lectern, with active participation from the students. The content is adapted to the level of the group and is aimed at both singers and instrumentalists. The workshop also offers the opportunity to sing alongside members of Cappella Pratensis, allowing participants to benefit directly from the ensemble's experience.
